Dust off that Serendipity Bible

If you were a Christian in the 80's and 90's you might remember the Serendipity Bible for Personal and Small Group Study.  If you're unfamiliar with the Serendipity Bible, you can read more about it and see a sample at SaltyBeliever.com.   In short, it's a Bible with pre-written ice breaker, study, and application questions for every chapter of the Bible.  Some chapters have more than one lesson and there are some felt-needs lessons too.  

Maybe you have one on your shelf.  In fact, stop reading and go check.    

Do you have one?  If your answer is yes, when was the last time you used this Bible?  If it has been over a year, would you consider shipping it to us?  We'd like to put it to use.  I'll tell you more below.  

If you don't have one, would you consider either buying one and shipping it to us?  Or better yet, you could send us money to order it ourselves so we only have to pay to ship it to one place.

Here's why we need Serendipity Bibles:  We believe discipleship is important.  So important that we stress getting together in one-on-one meetings and small group gatherings to discuss the Bible.  Right now, we encourage everybody to gather around the book of Nehemiah to discuss the text Pastor Bryan will be preaching on the next Sunday.  We also encourage disciples to go through the book of John with new believers and non-believers.  A resource like the Serendipity Bible make it possible for any believer, new or mature, young or old, skilled or unskilled, trained or untrained, to open the Bible and have a discussion.  We want as many people in our church to have one of these as possible.  And we see no point in buying new ones if you've had one sitting on your shelf for the last 13 years.  Free up some space on your shelf and help out a church on the front lines of Kingdom advancement.
