Congratulations Pastor Josiah Walker!
Please join us as we congratulate Pastor Josiah Walker. Yesterday day at the Redeeming Life Church building, an assembled ordination council affirmed that we believe God is calling Josiah Walker into the ministry of the gospel.
Pastor Josiah has spent many years exploring this call on his life and preparing to serve the Church in accordance with 2 Timothy 2:14-26. His preparation included reading and study, formal and informal classes, faithfully serving the local church in many ways, preparing sermons, leading Fellowship Groups, attending conferences, coaching, discipleship with Pastor Bryan and others, and much more. However, at Redeeming Life, we believe that this is the pastorate's entry point, not the final destination. Pastor Josiah will spend a lifetime continuing to learn and grow, sharpening his skills, and depending upon Jesus even more deeply as he gives himself to the service of our Lord.
We appreciate the work of this ordination council. Pastor Mike Pless facilitated the discussion, and the other members were Mel Handy, Ted Kalakis, Pastor Robbie Tschorn, Pastor Bryan Catherman, Pastor Jared Jenkins (Risen Life Church), and Pastor Nick Erickson (Redemption Church).
On Sunday, February 7th, we will lay hands on Pastor Josiah to pray for him as a church, publicly recognizing his call to this service. We hope you can join us at 11 AM or watch the live-stream.
