Youth Ministry Residency (One Year)

Redeeming Life Church is offering a one-year Youth Ministry Residency to the right candidate. Our Youth Ministry Resident should be a Christian and desire to serve the local church in youth ministry. The Resident will be given opportunities to work with our Family Pastor and our Lead Pastor to teach youth and volunteers, teach Bible studies, plan activities, evaluate training materials and activity ideas, and other related ministries. In addition, we will give the Resident opportunities and resources to learn more about youth ministry in a "boots-on-the-ground" learning environment.

While this is an unpaid residency, the right candidate will be given many opportunities to grow, gain experience, and build a resume. We will provide books and other resources. Every week, the Resident will receive an hour of training with our Family Pastor or youth ministry leaders and an hour with Dr. Bryan Catherman (our Lead Pastor) for discipleship, coaching, and general ministry training. As we hope the Resident may remain in Utah with Redeeming Life, another church, or join a church plant, we will also introduce the Resident to other pastors and church planters in the area. If necessary, we are very willing to modify this residency to meet seminary field training education and be eligible for seminary or Bible college credit. This residency might be perfect for online students!

We expect the Resident to be present at our 11:00 AM Sunday morning worship service, our 6:30 PM Sunday evening worship service, and NextGen at 6:30 on Monday nights. There will also be an hour or two of necessary prep each week. While the Resident is not required to become a member, we expect that the Resident will be plugged in with Redeeming Life Church. He or she must agree with our statement of beliefs. Depending on the Resident, we may occasionally ask the Resident to lead or design other youth activities, camps, or outreaches.

Redeeming Life Church is the merge of a 60-year-old church and a 6-year-old church plant. Our youth ministries are small at the moment, but we believe the right Resident, working with our Family Pastor, has an excellent opportunity to grow this ministry.

We highly recommend that interested candidates review our website and watch at least a couple of live-streamed services. We want to be sure we are a good fit for the Resident as much as the Resident be a good fit for us.

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to Info@RedeemingLifeUtah.org.  A background check will be required for this residency.
