Announcement of Ministries for 11/20

PREPARING FOR THE LORD’S DAY | As you anticipate our worship gathering on the Lord’s Day, consider praying for our service, reading the Text for the sermon, and preparing your heart and mind for worship with the Body of Christ. We’ll sing Christ is All; Nothing but the Blood; Holy, Holy, Holy; and Yet Not I but Through Christ in Me.  Pastor Bryan will preach Romans 7:14-25.

FAMILY MEETING & THANKSGIVING DINNER | Our next family meeting is November 20th from 5-7 PM.  This meeting will be a pot-luck-style Thanksgiving meal.  We will affirm the budget as well as a new member of our Church Council.  There will also be an information meeting for those who would like to discuss the budget in more detail or ask questions that might not concern the larger body of members at 1 PM the same day.

SATURDAY FELLOWSHIP GROUP | The Ladies Fellowship Group and Bible Study that meets at 10 AM on Saturday mornings has outgrown their space and moved to Lee’s Market Place in North Salt Lake (Foxboro).  For more info, please contact MaryAnn Dalrymple or Tress McFarland.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD | Sunday, November 20th is the last day to drop off Operation Christmas Child boxes.  You can bring them Sunday morning or to the Family Meeting.  We’ll take them to the collection point on Monday morning.

CHILDREN TAG NUMBER | Parents, when you check your child into children’s ministry, you get two tags.  The one with your child’s name goes on your child.  The other tag has a unique code that matches the code on your child’s tag.  It is extremely important that you safeguard this tag.  You will need that tag to have your child released back to you after the service.  And if a diaper needs changes or there’s some other reason you are needed, we will post that code on the screen during the service.  That’s an important tag!

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS | There’s still time to give to Christmas Blessings.  Christmas Blessings is a way for us to give gift cards to families in need this Christmas season.  They will use these cards to shop for gifts and food for Christmas.  If you’d like to give, please drop gift cards, cash, or checks in the Christmas Blessings box in the lobby.  You can also give on-line by selecting “Local Outreach” in the dropdown in Realm.

BUDGET Q&A MEETING | Our Covenant Members are voting on our Budget at the November 20th Family Meeting.  Each member will receive a copy after the morning church service, and it will be posted on-line.  At 1 PM, Sunday, November 20th, the Church Council and Finance Team are hosting a Q&A meeting to answer questions.  This will be the chief time for discussion to help keep the Family Meeting on schedule.  Please plan on attending.

MONTHLY MEN’S BREAKFAST | On the first Saturday of every month at 9 AM, the Men of Redeeming Life are gathering at Ramblin’ Roads restaurant (544 W 400 N, Bountiful, UT 84010) for breakfast and fellowship.  Our next Men’s Breakfast is December 3rd.  Each guy covers the cost of his own breakfast.

ONLINE GIVING | If you would like to worship through faithful giving and give online, log into your Realm account and select the giving tab.  If you’re not a Realm user, you may visit https://onrealm.org/rlc/give/now.   We appreciate your faithful giving and we hope you might consider setting up a reoccurring giving schedule.

WE NEED HELP THE CHILDREN’S MINISTRY | Here’s a great opportunity to serve and preach the gospel to the next generation of the Church.  Please consider volunteering in the Nursery, Pre-K, or older kids’ classes.  We also need people to monitor the cameras on an iPad during the service or serve as the Children’s Ministry Assistant.  Service will be on rotation, certainly not every week or as often as you might think.   Please contact Pastor Josiah for more info.

YOUR NEXT STEPS | We believe the Christian journey at Redeeming Life Church is a wonderful way for you to grow as a Christian and get involved with our faith-family at Redeeming Life Church.  Are you taking the next step in your journey?  What’s your next step?  1.  Worship weekly with the faith-family.  2. Engage in weekly Bible study with others.  3.  Join a Fellowship Group.  4 Serve the faith-family.  5.  Live on mission.   Are you willing to take the next simple step on your journey with Jesus?
