Announcement of Ministries 4/16/2023
PREPARING FOR THE LORD’S DAY | As you anticipate our worship gathering on the Lord’s Day, consider praying for our service, reading the text for the sermon, and preparing your heart and mind for worship with the Body of Christ. We’ll be singing He Will Hold Me Fast, Colossians 1, Be Thou My Vision, and God is For Us. We are starting a new 4-part series entitled “Contend for YOUR Faith” centered on the book of Jude. Pastor Bryan will be preaching part one this week from Jude 1:20-21, and we will partake in the Lord’s Supper together as remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for us.
CLASS HOUR | For those interested in growing in their faith, we have a class hour on Sunday mornings from 9:30am-10:30am before our 11:00am Worship Gathering. These classes cover a wide array of various subjects. There are classes for kids from birth through high school and four different adult studies as well. More details can be found on Realm or you can contact one of our pastors with any questions.
FAMILY MEETING | Our next family meeting is right after our morning worship service on April 30th. We will be presenting new members for your affirmation, sharing those who are no longer in covenant membership, and voting to affirm Terry McIlvain for the vacancy position on our Church Council.
CHILDREN TAG NUMBER | Parents, when you check your child into children’s ministry, you get two tags. The one with your child’s name goes on your child. The other tag has a unique code that matches the code on your child’s tag. It is extremely important that you safeguard this tag. You will need that tag to have your child released back to you after the service. And if a diaper needs changes or there’s some other reason you are needed, we will post that code on the screen during the service. That’s an important tag!
SECURITY TEAM | Interested in joining the Redeeming Life Security Team? Members of this team serve as parking lot greeters, watch cameras, and welcome those showing up a little late. There are some other tasks that may come up from time to time. If you’re interested, please let Pastor Josiah know.
BIBLE STUDY ESSENTIALS | We believe studying God’s Word is extremely important. To assist you with a simple but good method for Bible study, we provide the Bible Study Essentials Bookmark. It’s free and available on the Connection Counter. Grab a bookmark and a friend and start your journey through the Bible together!
