The 411 on Study Bibles

Using a study Bible or two is a blessing for a student of God's Word. At Redeeming Life, we love the CSB and ESV Study Bibles. A good study Bible contains helpful information, like commentary, maps, timelines, historical backgrounds, cross-references, articles, dictionaries, word studies, and more. A good one, like the CSB or ESV study Bibles, will be robust but accessible. They are easy to use and greatly helpful in discovering the meaning and application of a biblical passage.

Study Bibles might be intimidating at first. You may have questions, such as: How do I pick a study Bible? What's in a study Bible? Are there less helpful or harmful study Bibles? Why do you like the CSB Study Bible and give that to new disciples when they get baptized? Should I get the CSB or the ESV Study Bible? These are great questions! We've provided some videos below to help you answer these. We especially like the older video of Pastor Bryan helping us learn how to pick a study Bible when he was much younger and less grey.
