Announcement of Ministries 8/18/24
PREPARING FOR THE LORD’S DAY | As you anticipate our worship gathering on the Lord’s Day, consider praying for our service, reading the text for the sermon, and preparing your heart and mind for worship with the Body of Christ. We’ll be singing This Is Our God, Every Promise, and Jesus is Our Righteousness, and we will be continuing our sermon series “Be The Church” as Pastor Josiah delivers a message centered on 1 Timothy 6:11-16. We will also respond to the preached word by partaking in the Lord’s Supper together.
LADIES’ NIGHT OUT | Mark your calendars!!! Our next Ladies Night Out will be on August 15th at 6:30pm. This month, the ladies of RLC will be venturing to the Food Trucks at the Bountiful Farmers Market! On the third Thursday of every month, the ladies of Redeeming Life get together at 6:30pm for a delicious meal and a time of fellowship. (every month the location varies.) FAMILY MEETING | Our next family meeting is right after our morning worship service on Sunday, August 18th. We will be voting to affirm Holly Kellam to serve as your representative on the Church Council. (This meeting should last no longer than 15 minutes)
WORSHIP & PRAYER NIGHT | Join us on Sunday August 25th, at 6:30pm for a time of corporate worship and prayer in the Assembly Hall.
TEXT GIVING | If you would like to worship through faithful giving and use text messaging to do it, send “RLC” to 73256 for a form you can use from your phone. You will promptly receive a response with instructions and a secure link to follow. The system will send you a secure link to complete your transaction and send you a giving receipt. This will also allow your donation to be tracked in our system so we can provide you with tax info in January.
WE NEED HELP IN THE CHILDREN’S MINISTRY | Here’s a great opportunity to serve and preach the gospel to the next generation of the Church. Please consider volunteering in the Nursery, Pre-K, or older kids’ classes. We also need people to monitor the cameras on an iPad during the service or serve as the Children’s Ministry Assistant. You can choose to serve during the 9:30am class hour, the 11:00 worship service, or both! Volunteers serve on a rotation, certainly not every week or as often as you might think.
