Redeeming Life at the Senior Center
Meet Theresa Fall. She's part of our Redeeming Life family and volunteers at the River's Bend Senior Citizen Center.
Matthew 5:14-16 says, "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put in under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." We not only believe this statement is God's Word, but that it's true and we should follow it. We are called to be lights in dark places. Redeeming Life is called to be a beacon in the City, for the glory of Jesus.
In the previous verses we are called "the salt of the earth." I believe that means, among other things, that we need to be in our community, serving as we serve Christ. We desire to be a church that's for Salt Lake City. That means, in part, that we serve the community wherever God has called us. The church serves our community because we are the church. The church is us. For Theresa, that place of service is at the River's Bend Senior Citizen Center. Where is that place for you? To whom in our community is God calling you to go? What dark spot needs brightened by the light of Christ in you?
Thanks for your faithful service Theresa!
Soli Deo gloria!
