Vision Sunday

Redeeming Life, 

September 11th is Vision Sunday.  Vision Sunday is probably a misleading title.  To think that we only seek God’s vision for our church once per year would be very incorrect.  Pastor Brett and I seek vision for our faith family every week.  But that does not mean it’s not a good idea to set aside one week per year to think about and discuss the coming year or more.  This is good stewardship of our time, talents, and resources.   

As Pastor Brett and I have been praying, it seems God is nudging us in a specific direction for the following year.  This is not a shift from our vision or mission, but just a focus.   It comes from 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17.  The key, I believe, is the encouragement to stand firm on the Gospel.  So grab your Bible, start praying, and get ready!
