Honoring Pastor Mike Pless and His Legacy

Pless Seafkow Iorg.jpg

Pastor Mike Pless has served as our pastor since November, 1995. When he was first called, the church was named First Southern Baptist Church of Bountiful. He lead the church through a name change when the name was changed to Good Shepherd Fellowship, and now he as helped Good Shepherd and Redeeming Life merge into a single church. He oversaw First Southern’s move from 5-points to the present location, and he facilitated the construction of the building were we presently worship. Now Pastor Mike is serving as Pastor Bryan’s Pastor and our Pastor Emeritus.

Although Pastor Mike doesn’t officially retire until the end of 2020, we celebrated his faithful service and legacy by way of hearing from Dr. Josh Seafkow (Pastor of Flat Creek Baptist Church) and Dr. Jeff Iorg (President of Gateway Seminary). Pastor Mike was presented with a personal painting from Bill Priester, the Pastor Emeritus at Flat Creek Baptist Church. We’ll continue celebrating Pastor Mike’s service with a special Sunday worship service on January 10th and a special retirement dinner in January.

Thank you for your faithful service to our church Pastor Mike Pless!
