"The Sin Factory" (Mark 7:14-23)
Trying out different filming locations, Pastor Bryan Catherman recorded his Mark 7:14-23 sermon—”The Sin Factory”—from his study at home. In this sermon, he looks at what causes evil thoughts and evil behavior. From where do they come from? As we continue through the book of Mark, you can watch his sermon here:
In addition, we have a few resources for you as you draw near to the Lord this week.
First, we’ll be gathering together with Good Shepherd Fellowship for an in-person, socially distanced, worship service. Pastor Bryan is preaching James 1:2-18 about dealing with trails, joyfully. We’ll also have musical worship (but with no singing), and Pastor Bryan will even be preaching to the kids. That’s right! We’re trying to bring back the children’s sermon as we are working to safely re-open our worship gatherings. We’d love to have you join us at 11 AM. Learn more about what we’re doing to gather safely, watch this short video. If you would rather participate via Zoom, the links are available on Realm. (You can learn more and join us on Realm here.)
Next, we’ll have our 9:45 House of Prayer and check-in time in person and on Zoom. If you’d like to gather with us in the Fellowship Hall at the Good Shepherd building, we have socially distanced tables and we’ve been improving the technology for Zoom. The big screen works so we can see each other. We’ll also have a couple cameras in the near future. If you would rather participate via Zoom, the links are available on Realm. (Again, you can learn more and join us on Realm here.)
Also, we have a Worship at Home YouTube play list. It has more than 60 songs with lyrics. They are mostly hymns with a modern touch, played on a guitar. If you haven’t yet worshiped with this resource, you really ought to check it out. Follow this link to the YouTube play list.
Finally, we’re thankful that many of you have continued to give during this challenging time. Giving is an act of faith and worship. You may give by mail or you can give on Realm.
If you need prayer or have any questions, submit them here or you can call or text us at (385) 368-6665.
