Mark: "The Gospel Is Offensive" (Mark 8:31-33)

The gospel is offensive. Believe it or not, it’s supposed to be. That’s how it assaults our sin and lostness. That’s how it does the work the Bible says it does. But like Peter, we often want to soften that offense for others. But when we do that, we align ourselves with Satan.

In his sermon, “The Gospel is Offensive” (Mark 8:31-33), Pastor Bryan looks at Peter’s actions and Jesus’ response. He explores the dangers of softening or editing the gospel to make it what it is not intended to be. This sermon is a part of our series through the book of Mark.
