Announcement of Ministries for 2/21/2021
As we continue to seek ways to do ministry and reach people for Christ, there may be more going on than you can participate in. That's okay. Please don't feel the pressure of doing everything or participating in everything.
Consider giving three hours per week. One hour is for attending a weekly worship service. The second hour is for a fellowship group on Sunday morning or during the week. And the third hour is for serving your faith-family. If you are giving three hours per week, you're doing great! Please don't feel like you have to do more. But if you want to participate in more ministries, that's okay too.
Here are some things you should be aware of this week. There may be additional announcements, specific to different ministries in your Realm groups.
CONFESSION OF BELIEFS STUDY AND FELLOWSHIP GROUP | Starts tonight! On Sunday, February 21st at 6:30 PM, Pastor Bryan will lead a 13-week study through each section of our Statement of Beliefs, also exploring what the Baptist Faith and Message and other statements of faith say on the same topic. Starting with a great deal of Scripture, each week will take a specific area of theology as the topic of discussion and study. We’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall and it will be available on Zoom. (We won’t meet on Easter.) If you are interested and need the Zoom link, please let Pastor Bryan know and find the Realm Group (Confession of Beliefs Study) and join.
WE STILL NEED HELP THE CHILDREN’S MINISTRY | Here’s a great opportunity to serve and preach the gospel to the next generation of the Church. Please consider volunteering in the Nursery or Pre-K classes. Service is on rotation, certainly not every week or as often as you might think. Please contact Pastor Bryan for more info.
LADIES THURSDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP GROUP | Starting Thursday, March 4that 6:30 at the church building, the ladies will gather for a study through the book, Women of the Word by Jen Wilkin. Not only will this Women’s Fellowship Group be a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women, it will supply training to better study the Word of God. For more information, please contact Lisa, Meg, or visit the Women of Redeeming Life Group on Realm.
SERMONS ON ALEXA | Do you have an Amazon Echo Dot or Alexa app? If so, you can say, “Alexa, play sermons from Redeeming Life Church podcast” and hear the latest sermons recently preached at Redeeming Life Church.
INSTAGRAM | The fun thing about our Instagram account is the info we share. Want to keep up with the comings and goings of our faith-family? Follow us on Instagram!
WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER FELLOWSHIP GROUP | Drop by the Loft at Lee’s MarketPlace at 4th West (255 North 400 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84103) on Wednesdays between 7:15 and 8:15 AM for prayer and fellowship. Stay the whole time or drop in for a couple minutes on your way to work—either is okay. And why not get a cup of coffee and food too? Find the Upper Room Realm Group or connect with Pastor Robbie for more info.
ONLINE GIVING | If you would like to worship through faithful giving and give online, log into your Realm account and select the giving tab. If you’re not a Realm user, you may visit https://onrealm.org/rlc/give/now. We appreciate your faithful giving and we hope you might consider setting up a reoccurring giving schedule.
NEED PRAYER? | Do you have a prayer request and would like our pastoral staff to pray for you? You may email your prayer requests to Prayer@RedeemingLifeUtah.org or text (385) 368-6665.
CONNECTION CARDS | You’ll find two kinds of Connection Cards at the church building. One is a large card you can write on and leave in the offering/connection box. It’s used for updating your information, requesting information, or sharing prayer requests. The other Connection Card is a bookmark with important contact information printed on the back. You’ll find links to join Realm, sign up for RightNow Media, share prayer requests, contact the pastors, and more. Please share these bookmarks with your friends.
QUESTIONS ABOUT FOLLOWING JESUS? | If you have questions about what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, we would like to help. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Pastors and ministry staff, a Fellowship Group leader, a Worship Team leader, or other Redeeming Life member to discuss what it means to be a Christian. We’d love to try to answer any questions you might have and pray with you.
COVID REMINDER | We would like to remind you to wear a mask when you are coming in and out of the church building, when we are signing, and any time you can’t reasonably social distance. Please remember to wash and sanitize your hands often. And if you are feeling ill, have symptoms of COVID, or have been exposed to someone with COVID, please remain home. Also, please remember that staying vigilant with these practices at home and other places you go will help us remain open and able to proclaim the gospel to our community. Thanks!
