"Submit to the Lord" (1 Peter 2:13-25)
On Sunday Pastor Bryan discussed how the Christian relates to government. He also discussed what the Christian should do if he or she has a bad boss. His Text was 1 Peter 2:13-15 and the topic of the Text is submission. Christians are commanded to submit to the leaders appointed over them. In Peter’s day, they were called to honor the emperor. Christians should honor the leaders appointed over them. But what about the times in the Bible when men and women did not submit to the governmental leaders? What about Ehud, Daniel, Esther, and others? How do we know when we are to submit and when we are not? Pastor Bryan expounded on submission, why God commands us to submit, and if there is a time when Christians do not submit to ungodly leaders. His sermon “Submit to the Lord” (1 Peter 2:13-25) explored these topics and more. You can listen or watch his sermon here:
