Q&A: Is the Gospel All of the Bible?

[R] Q&A_mic.jpg

During one of his sermons, Pastor Mike Pless made a comment that the Gospel starts in Genesis 1:1 and ends in Revelation 22:21. Hearing this, someone sent in a question concerning this statement. Is it that the gospel only pertains to the events recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John? Or is it that the gospel is only the birth, life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus? Or maybe it’s that some parts of the Old Testament have nothing to do with the redemption and salvation of people, is that it? No. We agree that the Gospel starts in Genesis 1:1 and runs all the way to Revelation 22:21. The entire Bible is the good news of God’s work to redeem his creation.

In this episode of Redeeming Life: Q&A, Pastor Bryan Catherman addresses this question.
