Announcement of Ministries 11/12/23
PREPARING FOR THE LORD’S DAY | As you anticipate our worship gathering on the Lord’s Day, consider praying for our service, reading the text for the sermon, and preparing your heart and mind for worship with the Body of Christ. We’ll be singing Christ Is All, O Church Arise, God Is For Us, and He Will Hold Me Fast. We will be continuing our series through the book of Romans, as Pastor Bryan delivers a message centered on Romans 16:19-23, and we will respond to the preached word by taking part in the Lord’s Supper together.
SENIOR LUNCHEON | The next Senior Luncheon is scheduled for Monday, November 13th, at 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall. Grab a friend and join us for a time of fellowship and fun. Please RSVP on Realm or sign up in the lobby so we have an accurate count for lunch. See you there.
FAMILY MEETING & THANKSGIVING DINNER | Our next family meeting is November 19thfrom 4:30pm-8:00pm. This meeting will be a pot-luck-style Thanksgiving meal. We will affirm the budget, vote on church council members, and affirm new members into covenant membership. There will also be a Q&A informational meeting for those who would like to discuss the budget in more detail or ask questions that might not concern the larger body of members at 3:30pm that same day prior to our family meeting. BUDGET Q&A MEETING | Our Covenant Members are voting on our 2024 budget at the November 19th Family Meeting. Each member will receive a copy of the proposed budget after our 11:00am worship service, and it will be posted on REALM as well. That afternoon at 3:30pm, Sunday, November 19th, the Church Council and Finance Team are hosting a Q&A meeting to answer any questions. This will be the chief time for discussion to help keep the Family Meeting on schedule. Please RSVP on Realm if you plan on attending the Q&A meeting.
CHILDREN TAG NUMBER |Parents, when you check your child into children’s ministry, you get two tags. The one with your child’s name goes on your child. The other tag has a unique code that matches the code on your child’s tag. It is extremely important that you safeguard this tag. You will need that tag to have your child released back to you after the service. And if a diaper needs changes or there’s some other reason you are needed, we will post that code on the screen during the service. That’s an important tag!
TEXT GIVING | If you would like to worship through faithful giving and use text messaging to do it, send “RLC” to 73256 for a form you can use from your phone. You will promptly receive a response with instructions and a secure link to follow. The system will send you a secure link to complete your transaction and send you a giving receipt. This will also allow your donation to be tracked in our system so we can provide you with tax info in January.
SERMON PODCAST & LIVE STREAM | In the event that you miss a Sunday sermon because you are serving, sick, or otherwise unable to be with us for the service all-together, you can always find the live-stream, full service videos, sermon videos, and audio recordings on our website at www.RedeemingLifeUtah.org. We also live-stream on YouTube at 11 AM.
WHO ARE WE? | We are a church that hopes to see our community redeemed by the power of the gospel. Redeeming Life Church exists to know, live, and proclaim the gospel. We believe the God’s Word from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 is the inerrant story of the redemptive history of God—otherwise known as the gospel. To be people who are immersed in knowing, living, and proclaiming the gospel, we read, pray, sing, and preach God’s word.
