New Sunday Morning Classes Start This Sunday
The new quarter of Sunday Morning Classes begins this Sunday and will run for 13 weeks. This quarter's classes are co-ed, and couples are encouraged to study together. Even if you didn't sign up, we want to encourage you to come to a class.
Here's what's coming and where the classes will be:
Precept Bible Study (Overflow Classroom)
Maryann Dalrymple and Tresa McFarland lead this class. The class will do two Level 1 Precept studies. The first is "Ignite Your Passion for God," and the second is "Spiritual Warfare: Overcoming the Enemy." Each week you'll open God's Word and discover the richness of the Text as you seek to learn more about the topic. There is no homework.
Behind the Lyrics (Assembly Hall/Sanctuary)
Each week, Robbie Tschorn will look at two worship songs we sing on Sunday mornings and explore the scriptural foundation of the songs. What theology is the song communicating, and from where in the Bible did the author draw inspiration? Learn more about the Truth and proclamation behind the songs we sing.
The Story of the Bible (Fellowship Hall)
I will take a 13-week excursion through the entire story of the Bible in chronological order. Not only will you get a 30,000-foot view of the story of the Bible, but we'll also drop down to specific spots in the story to explore critical moments in the narrative. I'll also examine how particular threads run from the story's beginning to its end, such as the covenants, garden theme, and kingdom.
Ukrainian Bible Study (Prayer Room)
For Ukrainian speakers who are struggling to study the Bible in English, we encourage you to join Oleg Kamanov and other Ukrainian speakers as they study God's Word together.
Just as in the previous quarter, there are classes for infants and toddlers (birth through 5 years), kids (6 years through 5th grade), and youth (6th grade through 12th grade).
All classes start at 9:30. We hope you'll consider studying God's Word with us and joining us for our corporate worship gathering at 11 AM.
